Yorkshire's premier “Military Style” Concert and Marching band, representing one of the national Emergency Services. The band boasts some 30+ volunteer musicians from all walks of life, forming one of just four Fire Service bands in the country.

RIP Brian Anderson
Brian joined the band almost 20 years ago and was the Deputy Musical Director for many of those years. During his time with us, he was very well liked and was known for his pleasant and affable demeanour - whilst having a quietly spoken streak, of dry witted humour.
He was a talented arranger of music and over the years arranged many pieces for the band. Brian would often re-write music at the drop of a hat to suit any particular occasion or need.
Brian could regularly be seen in front of the band with a baton and as Deputy Musical Director, was always on hand to step in at a moments notice be it for a whole engagement or for the odd piece here and there.
He was also a well-respected member of the management team and his professional approach was always well balanced.
Brian was a fine musician who will be greatly missed by all.
A sad loss to the musical world.
