We are a highly committed and friendly group of musicians from all walks of life. We all share a keen interest in music and join the band for the fantastic opportunities and experiences it can bring. For some it is the prestigious events we attend and the chance to support the UK Fire Service. For others it is the opportunity to improve musically, to be involved in the varied social events, or to be part of our regular tours abroad. This band is Yorkshire's Premier Concert and Marching band and is well established within the region as well as around the UK. With your help we can continue this for many years to come. How to joinNew members need to be Grade 6 standard or equivalent, willing to work as a team member, be fully
committed to rehearsals and engagements and want to progress their own
playing as well as the standard of the band. We welcome new and past players. You do not need to be a member of the Fire Service, and no previous marching or band experience is required. Full instruction is given for the ceremonial side and uniforms are provided. We rehearse on Monday evenings.
