Morley Town Hall Concert - Tonight - CANCELLED

Unfortunately the band have found it necessary to cancel tonights concert (17th March) at Morley Town Hall.

At the time of making the decision the weather is quite bright, but the forecast from the MET Office is that there will be significant snowfall around the time of the concert.

The most important thing to the band is the safety of our band members and our audience, including late at night when we have to return our equipment and then get home. The weather forecast suggests there would be considerable risk, and so it is regrettable that we have made the decision to cancel tonights performance.

The West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service Band, is Yorkshire's premier “Military Style” Concert band and Marching band. We're based in Birkenshaw, Bradford, West Yorkshire and are proud to represent one of the national Emergency Services. The band boasts some 30+ musicians from all walks of life and are one of just four “Military Style” Fire Service bands in the country.

The Band is available to perform at a variety of occasions with any of our different ensembles. We play a vast repertoire of music including military classics, pop, selections from the stage and screen, and Last Night of the Proms. Often taking part at prestigious events all over the world, the band is as comfortable at local galas as it is at performing ceremonial duties for Senior members of The Royal Family.

The band's main role is to play at all official Fire Service functions. Not withstanding this, it is free to play whenever and wherever its services are required.
